Our focus in our application is to provide people and users of technology to be able to use the virtual world complexly, easily and especially safely. Our app will incorporate protection features, such as word filters to block inappropriate language, tethers to connect you and helpful tutorials to guide you on your way to being able to safely use your online world and bring out the best in it.
THE YOUNG ONES
Everyone loves technology, especially young children who are ready to have a great upstart in the IT world. Statistics have shown a great increase in numbers of young children who are utilizing the upcoming technology everyday. Despite this, young children are susceptible to content which is not suitable at all for them, and also being addicted to the screens can have bad implications for their health, As a result, we have implemented cutting edge technology in our app to limit the amount of use of applications by children, with a dedicated timer and limit to prevent excessive use of the screens.
THE TEENS
Teenagers are always trying to fit in with the major crowd, and technology is their craving; they use it to create stories, share their life and activities and to interact with others in their area. Although this is a great thing to do, there are many risks which are associated with it, like stalking and identity theft and also issues relating with health and school. Therefore, we have worked to implement features such as ShutDown, which will shut down apps after a period of time to allow time for homework and family time, while parents can monitor what their child is watching and viewing.
THE ELDERLY
The elderly are always keen to try new things, and technology is no exception; the new phones are always intriguing, yet they often do not know how to operate/work it. Consequently, we have also designed the app with them in mind; we have added a new feature for guides and tutorials which will help them in using and fulling the internet's potential. They can also add an extension on the website which will help them even on their computer and their mobile device.
